This year, I plan to spend my Christmas in the northernmost prefecture of Japan, none other known as Hokkaido. I arrived in Niseko today which is also The Eve. Niseko has many winter activities and was voted into the World's Top 10 Ski Resorts.
Checking in to the hotel was fuss-free and soon enough I dropped my heavy luggages in the room. Looking out of the balcony,
all you can see is how white the whole place is. Snow covered all the buildings, cars and roads. The scenic view brought a sense of calmness
to my mind.
It was already 4pm when I finally settled down. As I was quite tired from long journey, I decided to do winter activities
(aka skiing) tomorrow. Instead, I took a walk around the town.
There weren't a lot of infrastructure such as shopping malls or tall buildings. But this wasn't a bad thing for me after all. I was
just in need of a break-away from the hectic city lifestyle.
I was very fascinated by how the forests of pine trees were fully covered by snow. The pine trees also gave me christmassy feels.
Being truly enchanted by the beauty of this town, nature proves that it is above all once again.
